Words: Anosa, Geometric, fat
I wanted to use illustrative type for this image, and the word geometric dictates that I have to use basic shapes to create this image like triangles and squares - but "Fat" kind of contradicts this for me because fat means round, so I just created imagery that blended these two together to get some fat geometry going on.
Before Im critiqued too harshly on this, I had to take the photograph in daylight, because as you can most likely tell, I dont own the best quality image producing camera in the world. So, The poster is pink and black on stock, with gloss overprint on the type and I was going for very simple visuals here, whilst trying to convey fat geometry... The type kind of looks like a marshmallow of chewing gum or something like that so I think that also relates to it being fat, with the pointy triangles and squares doing their geometric thang.
The crafty Image was fun but also extremely frustrating to produce ( I also feel like my poo camera let me down at the final stage here - not so bad in the clavius image but I think its more noticable here.) Because I wanted to create a plush version of the type, and over stuff it making it look really chubby and malformed, but This went drastically wrong on the sewing machine (even with expert supervision). So basically, I got my expert to do it for me, and she produced a quilted version of the type which was much simpler to produce. It's almost as impressive as plush would have been, so I'm Happy. P.S, the cloud is made of kapoc (stuffing).
